- Dec 28, 2021 · 3 years agoIt's possible that someone mistakenly entered your email address when signing up for a Coinbase account. This can happen if someone accidentally mistypes their own email address or intentionally uses a fake email address. In such cases, you can simply ignore the emails and mark them as spam to prevent them from cluttering your inbox.
- Dec 28, 2021 · 3 years agoCoinbase may have obtained your email address from a third-party source. Sometimes, companies purchase email lists or receive them through partnerships with other organizations. If you've never interacted with Coinbase or provided them with your email address, it's possible that they acquired it through such means. To stop receiving emails from Coinbase, you can unsubscribe from their mailing list or contact their support team to request removal from their database.

However, it's important to note that there are phishing attempts and scams that impersonate Coinbase. If you're receiving emails from Coinbase but don't have an account, it's crucial to verify the authenticity of the emails. Check for any suspicious links or requests for personal information. It's recommended to directly visit the official Coinbase website and contact their support team to confirm the legitimacy of the emails you've been receiving.

It's possible that someone accidentally entered your email address instead of their own when signing up for Coinbase. It could also be a case of mistaken identity. To stop receiving these emails, you can simply unsubscribe from their mailing list or mark the emails as spam. If you're concerned about the security of your email address, you can change your password and enable two-factor authentication for added protection.
