The concept of Bitcoin was first introduced in a whitepaper titled 'Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System' published in 2008. Satoshi Nakamoto is believed to have mined the first block of the Bitcoin blockchain, known as the 'genesis block', in January 2009. However, the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains unknown to this day, and there have been various speculations and theories about who he/she/they might be.
