I have a vanilla gift card and I'm wondering if there is a way to add it to Apple Pay and use it for digital currency transactions. Can I link my vanilla gift card to Apple Pay and then use it to buy cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum?

- Dec 26, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, you can add your vanilla gift card to Apple Pay and use it for digital currency transactions. To do this, you need to first add your vanilla gift card to the Wallet app on your iPhone. Once it's added, you can use Apple Pay to make purchases with your vanilla gift card at supported merchants that accept digital currency payments. Just make sure to check if the merchant accepts Apple Pay and digital currency transactions before making a purchase.
- Dec 26, 2021 · 3 years agoUnfortunately, you cannot directly add your vanilla gift card to Apple Pay and use it for digital currency transactions. Apple Pay only supports linking credit and debit cards issued by participating banks. However, you can try using your vanilla gift card to purchase a prepaid debit card that is compatible with Apple Pay. Once you have the prepaid debit card, you can add it to Apple Pay and use it for digital currency transactions.
- Dec 26, 2021 · 3 years agoAs a representative of BYDFi, I can confirm that you cannot add your vanilla gift card to Apple Pay and use it for digital currency transactions. Apple Pay only supports linking credit and debit cards issued by participating banks. However, you can consider using other payment methods, such as linking your bank account or using a supported digital wallet, to make digital currency transactions on BYDFi or other exchanges.
