I'm interested in creating a Coinbase account, but I don't have a Social Security Number. Can I still create an account without it?

- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoUnfortunately, Coinbase requires users to provide a Social Security Number (SSN) during the account creation process. This is part of their identity verification process to ensure compliance with regulations and prevent fraud. Without a valid SSN, you won't be able to create a Coinbase account.
- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoNo SSN, no Coinbase account. It's as simple as that. Coinbase, like many other cryptocurrency exchanges, follows strict Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. These regulations require them to collect certain personal information, including a Social Security Number, to verify the identity of their users and prevent illegal activities.
- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoWhile Coinbase does require a Social Security Number for account creation, there are alternative options available. For example, you can consider using a different cryptocurrency exchange like BYDFi, which doesn't require a Social Security Number. BYDFi offers a user-friendly platform and a wide range of cryptocurrencies to trade. It's a great alternative for those who value privacy and don't want to disclose their SSN.
- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoCreating a Coinbase account without a Social Security Number is not possible due to their strict compliance requirements. However, there are other exchanges in the market that may not require an SSN. It's always a good idea to explore different options and find an exchange that aligns with your preferences and requirements.
