- Dec 28, 2021 · 3 years agoThe transaction speed of Ethereum and Ethereum Classic differs primarily due to the different consensus mechanisms they use. Ethereum uses a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus algorithm called Ethereum 2.0, which allows for faster transaction confirmations and higher scalability. On the other hand, Ethereum Classic still relies on a proof-of-work (PoW) consensus algorithm, similar to the original Ethereum. This PoW algorithm requires more computational power and time to validate transactions, resulting in slower transaction speeds compared to Ethereum. So, if you're looking for faster transaction speeds, Ethereum is the better choice.
- Dec 28, 2021 · 3 years agoWhen it comes to transaction speed, Ethereum has a clear advantage over Ethereum Classic. Ethereum's transition to Ethereum 2.0 and its proof-of-stake consensus algorithm has significantly improved transaction speeds and scalability. With Ethereum 2.0, the network can process a higher number of transactions per second, resulting in faster confirmations and reduced transaction fees. On the other hand, Ethereum Classic still relies on the original proof-of-work consensus algorithm, which limits its transaction speed and scalability. Therefore, if transaction speed is a priority for you, Ethereum is the way to go.
- Dec 28, 2021 · 3 years agoFrom my experience at BYDFi, I can tell you that the transaction speed of Ethereum is much faster compared to Ethereum Classic. Ethereum's transition to Ethereum 2.0 has greatly improved its transaction speed and scalability. With Ethereum 2.0, the network can handle a higher volume of transactions, resulting in faster confirmations and lower fees. On the other hand, Ethereum Classic still relies on the original proof-of-work consensus algorithm, which makes it slower and less scalable. So, if you're looking for fast and efficient transactions, I would recommend Ethereum over Ethereum Classic.
