The true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains a mystery. Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper in 2008 and released the first version of the Bitcoin software in 2009. Since then, Satoshi Nakamoto has not been actively involved in the development of Bitcoin. The background and motivations of Satoshi Nakamoto are still unknown.
