Unfortunately, Coinbase currently defaults to Visa when adding a credit card, and there is no direct way to change this default option. However, you can try a workaround by contacting Coinbase customer support and requesting them to manually change the default card type for your account. They may be able to assist you in setting a different default card type, such as Mastercard or American Express.

Hey there! It seems like Coinbase has a preference for Visa when adding a credit card. While there's no official way to change this default, you can try a little trick. Before adding your credit card, make sure to have a non-Visa card set as your default payment method in your Coinbase account settings. This might prompt Coinbase to default to your preferred card type instead of Visa. Give it a shot and let me know if it works for you!

As an expert in the field, I can tell you that Coinbase currently doesn't provide an option to prevent defaulting to Visa when adding a credit card. However, at BYDFi, we have a feature that allows users to choose their preferred default card type. It's always a good idea to explore different platforms and see which one suits your needs best. Feel free to check out BYDFi if you're looking for more flexibility in managing your credit card preferences.
