CryptoZoon is a digital collectible game inspired by Pokémon Story. It aims to create a comprehensive platform for digital monsters, allowing millions of individuals to participate in the NFT and blockchain-based gaming world in a simple, creative, and enjoyable manner.

Players can trade NFTs called ZOANs, which are digital collectible creatures with various traits, levels, and tribes. ZOANs are spawned from eggs and undergo evolution to reach their final development stage. Players need to spend a certain amount of ZOON to transition their digital creature from the egg phase to the ZOAN phase.

ZOANs can be trained and grown to fight monsters known as Yaki Monsters. By battling Yaki Monsters, players can earn ZOON, the native token of CryptoZoon. CryptoZoon has four ZOAN tribes, each with unique abilities. ZOANs come in six levels of rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Epic, and Legendary.

CryptoZoon also offers an NFT marketplace where players can trade their ZOANs, as well as a farming feature where players can stake their NFTs as collateral to farm liquidity. Additionally, players can compete against each other to receive ranking rewards and breed their ZOANs to create new NFTs.

The founders of CryptoZoon remain anonymous. They mention the legal situation of cryptocurrency in their country as the reason for their anonymity. They point out successful projects like Sushi that have been built by anonymous founders, while cautioning about rug pulls associated with projects having public teams, such as NanoDoge. This anonymity suggests that the team may not be from an English-speaking country, possibly China where cryptocurrencies have faced resistance, although this is not confirmed.

CryptoZoon follows the successful play-to-earn model seen in other games. Players have multiple ways to accumulate ZOON tokens.

Firstly, they can battle Yaki Monsters and earn ZOON as rewards. The game algorithm selects winners based on various characteristics of the ZOANs, such as indicators, rarity, and evolution levels. The rarer a ZOAN, the more turns it gets to fight a monster every four hours, resulting in more ZOON earnings. The turns per hour distribution based on ZOAN rarity level is as follows:

Common: 1 turn

Uncommon: 2 turns

Rare: 3 turns

Super Rare: 4 turns

Epic: 5 turns

Legendary: 6 turns

In addition to regular Yaki Monsters, ZOANs can also battle Yaki Bosses once a week. To participate, players need at least two ZOANs from rarity levels two and three, or at least one ZOAN from levels four, five, or six. The token reward is divided among the winners.

ZOANs that have reached level three or higher can be staked to generate farming rewards in the form of ZOON tokens. The team envisions a three-tiered profit system where players can earn from holding ZOON tokens, use ZOON to buy NFT creatures, and utilize these NFT creatures in battles and as collateral to generate more ZOON and BNB.

The total supply of ZOON tokens is 1 billion. 25% of the tokens were distributed in an IDO with a soft cap of 400 BNB and a hard cap of 800 BNB. Each wallet had a 2.5 BNB allocation at a 312,500 BNB/ZOON valuation.

According to the team, the IDO sold out in less than 25 seconds. 43% of the tokens are reserved for play-to-earn features, with 15% allocated for farming, 14% for monster battles, and 14% for training. 25% of the tokens are reserved for liquidity pools, while 2% are allocated for airdrops and 5% for developers with a one-year lock-up period.

Furthermore, each transaction incurs a 5% fee for selling and a 2% fee for buying ZOON. These fees are redistributed to the marketing wallet and utilized for marketing, development, buybacks, burns, Yaki Boss killer rewards, and CEX listings.

ZOON is a BEP-20 token on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), while the NFTs follow the ERC-721 standard. The team chose BSC due to its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), pre-integrated oracles like Chainlink, lower gas fees compared to Ethereum, and ease of listing on major exchanges due to BSC's compatibility with EVM.

BSC is secured through the proof-of-stake consensus mechanism. Every 24 hours, 21 validators are elected to validate transactions and maintain blockchain security. These validators are required to stake a certain amount of BNB coins with Binance to be eligible.

CryptoZoon was launched on July 29, 2021, on Pancakeswap.
